Insights

Its amazing to me how very different kids can be from one another, I know i have heard that by other moms in the past, But never found out how true it was till Trevors little sister came along.

They have very different personalities, Trevor was very dependent and attached to his mommy, very cuddly and sweet, loved my attention and coddling.
Lena couldn't be more opposite, she is very independent and seems to want her own space and to explore life on her own terms with out much intervening from me.
she is very 'un-cuddly' and is always like arching her back or is stiff as a bored.
sometimes it is difficult for me as i am a Very nurturing person and i love to cuddle and coddle my little ones, yet she is always pushing me away...ha.
she seems so tough, and like she can take on the world even tho she is only 4 mos old, its really funny she is like this "stoic" little thing.

She does have one very endearing little quality tho,and it is her little secret, so i have to pretend that Im not really on to her, and that is that she always wants to hold my hand. So sweet huh, she holds on so tight and always seems comforted by this little gesture. When she is fussy at night she does not want to be held close and comforted, but the minute i offer her my finger she holds on so tight and if I stroke and kiss her little hand she gets all content and happy and calms right down. Isn't that funny, well I'm really glad that there is at least something that i can do to help..ha
It really is amazing discovering your children and figuring out all the little neat things about thier personality and learning to adapt your self to there needs.

I love you my little bean.xxxx

Happy Birthday My Love!!

TO TREVOR, FROM MOMMY

I love you so much my sweet boy!
I am so proud of you! You have been through so much in the short 5 years you have been around Yet you have been so Brave and bounced back so easily,

I love your strength of spirit
I love how loyal you are, and how you would never let any one hurt the ones you love
I love your Zest for life.
I love the tender little heart you have.
I love how you are a courageous "super hero" who can take on the world
I love how you are always crashing into things.(Not really, but it is funny it reminds me of what a corageous, reckless boy your are, and no mater how many times you take a spill it still never stops you from doing those crazy things)
I love how you love your baby sister
I love how you get embarrased and try and cover your smile with your hand

I loved you the Moment that I laid eyes on you, and you will always have my heart wrapped tightly around yours.(and you will probably have me wrapped around your finger, when I look into your sparkly little green eyes, see your cheeky little smile and watch you throw your head back with your silly-yet heart felt laugh!)
You are the light of my life and I am sooo proud of you!
I thank Jesus every day for you.
I hope and pray that this year will be the best one yet for you.
With all the love in my heart,

Mommy

Eeewwwwwww

I was watching this story on the news the other day, It was quite disturbing!
I'm not sure if i understood everything correctly, but it was talking about how ppl take prescription drugs and the way they are made they don't entirely break down in your body so a lot of it comes out in your waste...now apparently everything gets recycled or something and they are saying that there is a big concern because our drinking water is starting to have a big "cocktail" of different kinds of drugs in it, and they dont really know how to properly filter it and are saying that most filters are not equipped to really be able to clear this stuff out... they said of course filtering it helps some...but apparently doesn't get it all out--Gross huh!
I used to drink from the tap quite freely but every time i take a drink from the tap i think of that story...now I'm kinda paranoid...its pretty gross!

baby update

My just turned(Like as of yesterday) 4 month old baby is cutting teeth!!!!
Its crazy it seems really early, and she like really wants to teeth on stuff but she doesnt really have the hand coordination to get her fingers or a teething ring into her mouth...poor baby, she gets really frustrated. she also has taken to using my nipples as her chew toy..ouch!!!!

Fashion--For Mom's

Ok, Now I know that"Fashion" Is probably on the waaaaaay back burner of most ppls minds(it is mine) but after looking in the mirror a couple times today and seeing the frumpy hair tied in a knot, the pants that are Pregnancy size, and the spit up all over my shirt, I decided that maybe it is time to at least try and pay a little bit of attention to how i look.
Now, any one who has kids will be the first to tell me that finding something to wear that is functional with kids, and stylish is a huge feat!!!
I actually stumbled across this list and thot that it was great!
but any how, that was my little fasion moment--of course i know that I just had a baby and Im not expecting to look like a super model, but I know I can definitely stand to improve.
Esp in light of the recent council in the word-- I can say for a fact that man definitely judges by the outward appearance...and often in the back of my mind i have a feeling that ppl are thinking "white trash Mom"--heh! sounds bad..I know.
any how here is the list of functional clothes that a designer needs to make.

It is infinitely difficult to merge fashion with child-rearing clothes. Here are my ideal criteria for this fashion black hole.

Moms NEED:

1) Sweaters that don't pill or get stretched out from holding children all day. That rules out wool and cotton, so a cotton-silk blend might work here.

2) Sets of tops that coordinate so you can strip down in a hot park and put something back on when it gets cooler. This might be specific to California's micro-climates.

3) Tops that are fitted, but not too clingy and don't have boob-baring necklines when you bend over for the 100th time to pick your child up at the park.

4) No white, ever.

5) Something with clean, modern lines that fits better than Banana Republic.

6) Fabrics and cuts that are machine-washable and that last and last, since, let's face it, when you get a good outfit going you want to wear it again and again just to skip the whole, "what shirt should I wear with these pants" thing each day.

7) Finally, style that doesn't scream "too style-ey" at the park but wouldn't call you out as a dumpy mom if you get the chance to go to dinner after putting the kids to bed.

Can a clothing manufacturer PLEASE read these criteria and get us some better child-rearing clothes!?

Tooth Fairy!

Im a Tooth Fairy!!!
Shhhhh... pulease dont tell Trevor!
Yes his tooth finally came out with a gentle little tug from Mommy (Tip: Grab a piece of clean tissue, it grips really good and give a little tug! Of course you dont want to do it until that tooth is really good and wiggly.)
Any how he was sooooo excited and i was really happy to share the moment with him.he chattered and talked and hugged me, then hugged me again
I wasnt so happy about spending 12 bucks on the toy that he painstakingly wrote a list to the Tooth Fairy for!!! (well, it was only suppossed to be 5$ but like always they didnt have the toy in the cheap version! only the expensive one-ahem)

Ah, well, it was fun all in all-- a good first time experience. And hey he says that he will be happy with 'stickers' next time (well, (In his words) "Magical stickers" that make dreams come true!!!!
Sooo sweet! I love my little man.
